I have seen people come up with some absolutely crazy methods for monitoring their back links. After all; it is something that absolutely MUST be done if you wish to be successful with your Search Engine Optimization.
If you are not keeping up to date with the status of those links then you are making life a whole lot more difficult for yourself. The problem is that many of the methods that people use are FAR too cumbersome.
In fact; I have seen people dedicate whole days in their week to monitoring their back link situation. Obviously this is not going to be ideal as there are many more ‘vital’ things that you could be doing.
As I said, it must be done though. There are easier methods however and that is why I wish to introduce you to Linkody. Let me explain a little bit about what it is all about.
Linkody is an automatic back link checker. All you need to do is upload a list of your links (which you can do directly from your Excel or CSV file) and you are pretty much good to go. It will monitor your links 24/7 so you do not have to.
If you get new back links then you will dropped an email (ideal for when you want to get in touch with a particular website to see if they are able to give you more links back to your site). If a back link that you previously had out there is removed then you will even get an automatic notification of this.
If you are expecting a link (perhaps because you paid for one) then you will be able to instruct Linkody to notify you when that link has been put up. All in all it is a pretty decent system and it will do absolutely everything automatically that you most likely would have been doing manually in the past, and that is going to save you a LOT of time in the long run (and as you know, time means money!)
In order to be successful in something you need to analyze what somebody before you has accomplished and then improve on it. The world of SEO is not an exception to this rule. If you want to be successful then you need to look at what your closest competitors are actually doing in order to climb the search engines. Thankfully this is going to be remarkably easy for you.
All you need to do is log into Linkody, give the details of the source page you wish to be analyzed and then you will be given a whole lot of information on that particular site. You will even be able to spy on the link building strategies that are currently being used by some of the biggest companies in your field. There is no other way to do this (as far as I know) without analyzing the information manually. In my opinion this nifty little feature makes the system more than worth the purchase price alone.
You can of course use the link analytics system to carry out your own research. For example; you will be able to take a peek at how your links spread around the internet (i.e. are they text links or image links?), you will be able to see the most popular anchor phrases and keywords used, where the links tend to appear on a domain, and even whether the link is follow or no follow. All of this information can then be used to better tailor your link building strategy. For example; you may wish to encourage those who share your links to use different anchor text. If your images tend to get linked to more then you may wish to post more images etc.
Now I know that the vast majority of people who will be jumping into Linkody will be running their own Search Engine Optimization Company. If you are one of those people then you will be pleased to know that there is one feature of this system which will benefit you A LOT.
This is the ability to generate ‘white label’ PDF reports on back link activity. When you generate the report you will be able to attach your own logo and company details to the page This means that people will not even know that you are making your life a whole lot easier by using this sublime program.
If you are carrying out your own Search Engine Optimization campaign, and I am sure you are since you are a savvy internet marketer, then I really do suggest that you give Linkody a whirl. It is a remarkable program and I use it myself for all sorts of reasons.
Having used other software out there I would certainly not use anything else after using Linkody. Do take advantage of the free 30 day trial to see whether it is something that you are going to be using a lot (and I can guarantee you, if you regularly partake in SEO it WILL be something that you use a lot)
